& PREVAILING WAGE
On Day One as Executive, we will have a leader who strongly and unequivocally supports a $15 minimum wage and prevailing wage for our building trades. We will honor work by making sure that anyone who’s willing to put in the hard work is rewarded with pay that allows them to meet their needs and the needs of their family.
This means a $15 minimum wage and full support for payment of a prevailing wage to the hard-working men and women of the building trades, a career path for which there is a huge demand. Increasing the minimum wage puts more money in working men and women’s pockets, as well as more money in the local economy, and that’s good for everyone.
